Janelle Thornton, Associate

Janelle Thornton's practice includes defending companies in class action and single plaintiff litigation, arbitration and mediation. She defends companies in response to a broad range of disputes, including wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, family and medical leave laws, and contract disputes. Janelle also provides advice to clients on day to day best practices, performance conversations, investigations, drafting employment agreements and policies, and compliance with all aspects of labor and employment law. Prior to joining Schor Vogelzang & Chung, Ms. Thornton was an associate attorney at a local mid-sized firm where she practiced civil litigation defense, handling primarily personal injury, premises liability, professional medical negligence, and product liability matters. She provided advice to clients on compliance with labor and employment law with a focus on wage and hour issues. Ms. Thornton has presented on various topics related to compliance with developing state and federal laws.
